Kennedi Harris

Kennedi currently serves as an Engineer II for Alabama Power, responsible for the engineering of distribution facilities the Dadeville service territory. Harris began her career at Alabama Power in 2016 as an intern in Power Delivery, Birmingham Division. In 2018, she joined the company full time as an EIT in Varnons. Upon completion of the EIT program, she transitioned to the role of territory engineer, responsible for Montevallo and Calera, before moving to her current position as a territory engineer in Lake Martin Operations in 2021. Harris earned her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University in 2018. She is currently a candidate to receive her MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Harris currently resides in Auburn, Alabama. As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the National Society of Black Engineers, she continuously strives to be a citizen where she serves.

Ben Gay

Ben Gay

Ben is a Senior Engineer in Alabama Power. He has over 16 years experience with Southern Company. Beginning his career as a co-op student, he has worked in Power Delivery at both Georgia Power and Alabama Power. Major assignments include managing a new business territory and, most recently, serving as the reliability engineer in for Auburn area with focus on system improvements and automation. He received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University in 2007 and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Alabama. Ben also is also a graduate of Leadership Lee County. Ben resides in Auburn, Alabama with his wife, Sarah, and three daughters.

D’Antonio (Deno) Daigre

Deno currently serves as an Engineer II for Alabama Power Company, responsible for the engineering of distribution facilities in the Auburn service territory. Deno began his career at Alabama Power in 2019 as an EIT (Engineer III) in Power Delivery. He has remained in Auburn throughout his time at Alabama Power Company. Deno is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native and was hired on to APC through the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). In 2019, Deno earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Deno remains a member of NSBE as well as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He is a former college football athlete and weightlifter.

Isreal Askew

Isreal is an Engineer I at Alabama Power. He has over 6 years’ experience with Southern Company. Beginning his career in 2013 as INROADS Intern, Isreal has worked in the Power Delivery Organization in both the Birmingham and Southern Divisions of Alabama Power. Major assignments include managing a new business territory and, most recently, serving as the South Team Leader for Montgomery Engineering Operations He received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Tuskegee University in 2015. Isreal resides in Montgomery, Alabama and is a member of the City of Montgomery Mayor’s young Professional Council, serving on the Policy and Special Projects Committee.
