Cortney coordinates and teaches several of the eight LEAD courses that serve as the academic foundation of the undergraduate Servant Leadership Program at Columbus State University. She also works collaboratively with other departments at Columbus State to ensure that servant leadership is present in all of it student leadership initiatives and oversees the operations of the Food Pantry at CSU.

She has previously served as the Assistant Director of the Servant Leadership Program at Columbus State and as the Servant Leadership Program Coordinator at Brookstone School.

Cortney is a certified Human Behavior Consultant with Personality Insights and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. She is certified and well-versed in the DiSC and the CliftonStrengths assessments.

Cortney is very active in her community, serving on the board of directors for the Columbus State University Alumni Association, the Young Professionals of the Greater Columbus GA Chamber of Commerce, Women United of the Chattahoochee Valley United Way, and is a member of the Junior League of Columbus. She is also 2017 graduate of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Columbus.

Cortney is a proud alumna of the undergraduate Servant Leadership Program at CSU as well as the graduate program that has a concentration in Servant Leadership.
